How do you change zip code to another city for the local channels? Do you do it in MyDish or call CSR? What about when you need a technician? Do you change it back to the correct zip code?

I am trying to get up to speed on all this here streaming stuff. So sorry if this is a dumb question. I haven't really followed all the threads and post about streaming that close. Does a smart TV need a streaming stick (Fire, Roku, etc) too? Can a smart TV get all the apps that the streaming sticks can get? Do the streaming sticks do a better job than the TV apps? We have three Samsung, two LG, and two Vizio TVs that are all smart. Also, I think my Slingbox 500 does the app thing too...

So what is going to happen when 5G Internet is here with the Hopper? Will we get our Internet service from a local tower antenna in the neighborhood? Will we need something to install in our home like we do now with the modem / router? Will we need a 5G super Hopper? I don't know much about 5G yet as you can tell. Just thought I would ask.

i have at250 with locals and show starz and movie pack. when i sign into dish anywhere and stream some content i see few channels that has a lock on it thought i subscribe to that channel. anyways to to get it unlock?

Set up numerous short recordings on CBS for this morning starting at 9am. Just got home and see under schedule a green circle with a check mark in it that says CBS SundayMorning started at9 and ended at 10:30 com0leted by Living Room 1. Well, I can’t find it anywhere. I guess even though it says it was recorded, it must not have been.

Is it possible to transfer what is on the 722k to the Hopper 3. I tried placing the HDD from the 722k into ext HDD cradle and it pulled the it's not Dish format crap on me. Backed out of that. Now have the 722 back together and hooked up via net port to net port like Hopper to Hopper. They are talking to one another but it has said it failed once. Trying again and it just said nope it won't do it. So is there any other way to do the transfer? Would rather not lose everything off the 722k.

my Wally seems to be stuck on the testing installation mode. I have it connected to a dpp10006YB dish that might have the setup for the eastern arc. I'm so confused so any help would be appreciated.

I used to take Dish camping with us prior to us getting the Hopper setup at home. I would take a Dish 500 and a tripod and could get signal almost anywhere. The majority of our campgrounds are heavily wooded but I had 300+ feet of coaxial and could always find a small hole somewhere. Once we upgraded to the Hopper we turned in the old reciever and gave up on portable satellite for a while. We have since gotten back in to it and purchased a Wally and added it for $7 a month and we can turn it...

Is it better to hook a new Wally receiver up to my home system the first time and then move it to my camper? I have 2 Hopper w/sling for my home system will it work with this?

Hey all,

So I know this question has been asked before, but I wanted to ask it specific to my setup. I have a mancave style setup in my garage with three 4K Joey's connected to three tv's. The good news is these are all within about 30 feet of the node and dishes. I have the extra dish to get the international channels/horse racing also. I think it is 118.8, Anik F3. I might be mistaken.

Then my main Hopper three is about 80 feet away in the living room. So my question is, how easy would...

Just received an email from Dish offering to upgrade to Hopper with Sling DVR with no up front costs (claiming a $300 savings). Other than hyping a voice remote and enhanced guide they provide no useful information. They don't even mention which Hopper is included. Hmmm, if I remember correctly the Hopper, at least the one they tried to install last year, has no ota tuner and also has a monthy fee for the DVR. With the info provided I'm not seeing any major advantage over my current VIP211k...

Attached is the latest 40.0 remote control color button menu shortcut list dated 17 Apr 2019. Did not find any color button changes due to the Hopper 3 software version U535 update.

If anyone discovers a mistake, find any more changes, or have any suggestions for the list please post them or send me a PM and I will update the list and post again.

After having worst install ever done by any tv provider ever plus coming with wrong equipment hopper duo and 2 joeys instead of hopper 3 and 2 4K JOEYS which i paid $159 for. The technician charged me a surge protector fee stating it connects to the dish and provides power to it. I said ok paid the $28 once he left i began to clean up his work and seen that it was a normal surge protector and that he unhooked my more expensive surge protector to use his. Is this common practice?

Thinking about joining HBO soon. We are Amazon Prime members and want all HBO TV live shows just like we had with our DISH Hopper if there is such a thing. When I check my Amazon Prime account it says HBO Go and HBO Now are free download apps. Which one should I get for all live TV programs or is there another HBO app version I should get? Why are they free? I thought you have to pay $15.00 for the HBO app. Also, there is a choice to download to my 4K Fire Stick or the...
