Wally and VIP211K on same LNB

I just added Dish and got a single Wally to use along with a VIP211K that I got from a friend. I talked to Dish rep, they said no problem as I wanted the Wally in the den and the 211K in the bedroom, and going to move the 211K to the RV when we travel (have a KHV L2 dome antenna).

The tech installed a new dish and the Wally and they work fine, but he got an error on the 211K and then he said that the Wally required a hybrid LNB and the 211K wouldn't work with the hybrid LNB.
