Back up and transfer settings to H3

Hi, first post here. i'm so frustrated with dish right now after what i've had to go through with them over the last 2 days so i'm just doing this on my own. i called tech but after teaching them that it is indeed possible to transfer settings and what menu to go to in order to do it, they basically told me they cant do it.
