Recently I have been receiving this message on my H3 (U517) every few days. Often happens in the middle of Prime Time. The message says it will reboot in 45 seconds and there is no option to prevent it. Very annoying. I have the reboot time set to 8 am but it seems to ignore that. Has anyone else seen this?

AT&T to Dish
I'm considering the switch to Dish from AT&T (Directv) and am curious about opinions.
Sports used to be a big deal to me, but I'm pretty much down to the NHL, whatever Bears game is on for the NFL, and college sports. The Big Ten channel is important as is the NHL channel and maybe Center Ice.
My biggest complaint with AT&T is having only 5 tuners on the genie. I run into scheduling conflicts all the time which is frustrating to say the least. The new HS17 is only going to have 7 tuners,...

Frustrated by numerous program guide issues
I have been frustrated by numerous program guide issues. Here I list some of them:
- Not all episodes appear for some timers. This is now happening for the series Shooter on the USA network
o Recently the same thing happened with The Expanse on Sci Fi
o Episode number appears reset to 1
- Movie description and content not the same
o Recorded Patriots Day during recent free preview for watching later. When I went to watch it was something else

My HWS is not showing all recordings in some folders on DVR. This just started. I have the new U703 update. Anyone else have this problem?

Fire Stick DishAnywhere App
As someone who has had issues I wanted to report that I’ve found a fix. It appears the app just needs more horsepower than a gen one fire stick. Get a gen two with the four core processor and it works great!

Dish Network Going Out During Storms...
I was just wondering why people always say that dish network goes out during storms. Just the other day it was raining with a lot of wind and the service was fine. I never have any trouble, even when there is snow on the dish. Anyone here lose their signal during storms? I don't.

signal loss during storms
So the guy who installed my dads hopper system had his signal good but then there were trees in the distance that grew so that interferred with the signal making it weak. So he called and another dish guy came out and pointed it in the the other direction. Well that make the signal weaker. He said when storms roll in, its out 10 to 15 mins. He likes the hopper system but should he call dish and get someone out there to realign his dish to fix it? It doesnt sound like hes had techs that...

Fire TV Stick through a corverter to Composite Video Issue
I recently upgraded to a Fire TV Box from the stick for my regular TV, so I have an old TV in the bedroom that does not have HDMI. For a Roku stick, I bought one of those HDMI to Composite converter and it works fine using the Roku. However when I use a Fire Stick, it often does not work well. I will try to get it to work, only to find the app kicks out or it goes to color bars. Is there a fix for this? Sometimes it doesn't even load. I would like to use Dish anywhere in the bedroom. Thanks.

Just bought a Samsung UN65NU8000FXZA now my DISH programming looks terrible
As I stated above I just bought A new Samsung 65 inch UHD TV and although anything in UHD, Ultra HD or 4K looks amazing however now all my regular dish programming looks terrible.
Either I'm confused or misunderstanding what I've read and what I've been told by Samsung technical support or some of you who have posted about upconverting our confused.

Possible new customer
I have been away from Dish for about 8 years. I recently went on website and was confused with pricing and equipment.
1st the local channel fee is $12.99 a month when i go to checkout screen. Does dish install OTA Antenna if so can i still get a wireless joey?
2nd i have two 4k tvs but it looks like Dish is only giving the Hopper 2 and wired or wireless Joeys neither say anything about 4k. Do i need to call and tell them I have 4K TVs and want their top equipment?
Right now im torn between...

What audio formats does DISH support these days?

4K Joey recall
I just got a 4K Joey and can't seem to figure out a small issue. When I hit recall it jumps back to the last channel and then pops us the other recent channels.
On my H3 and Joey 2, that button first brings up the recent channels and then I can select which one.
I cannot seem to find the setting to change that, but I recall there is a way. Can someone point me int he right direction.
